Welcome to the September/October Edition of the Fly Cast. I hope you enjoy it.
I’m sorry that it has been a little late, but I have been away for a couple of weeks, and then laid a little low with some sort of respiratory bug…again! Sydney is a dangerous place to visit!

It’s hard to believe that we are only a few weeks way (at the time of writing) from our next Christmas Party. The year just seems to have flown by.

This year due to rising costs, and limited club funds, we are going to make this a club members catered for event. While the Club will supply some of the food, a big thank you to all those members who have put their hands up to also bring along various dishes. And especially to Robin & Sue, who have coordinated the catering and other things associated with the party.

The Christmas Party will be the Club’s last formal activity for this year. As usual, we will not have an outing in December. Although I’m sure a few impromptu fishing activities will be on the cards.

I would like to thank those members who have been able to get along to the various outings and other activities that the Club has been involved in during the year. I hope you have enjoyed yourselves.

The fishing and social activities associated with the sport we love is the reason our Club came into being. And, hopefully with the support of members HFF will continue to provide a venue for us to enjoy, and promote fly fishing adventures.

On behalf of the HFF Committee I wish you all a safe and happy Christmas, and a very enjoyable 2024.
