HFF Flycast, January/February 2024
Volume 15, No. 10, January/February 2023

The Club has been active recently, with events like an outing to North Haven that got washed out due to bad weather and a successful joint Casting day with the Coffs Coast Club. The latter included various casting activities and tips from experienced members.
The club auctioned a fruitcake and Don managed to push the bidding to $250, raising $500 for the Bass release fund. Don also donated and raffled a carton of wine, raising $200 for the club.

The passing of Gwelma was marked with a funeral and wake at Lauriton Services Club, where members showed support. The service was a tribute to Gwelma and her family.
Gwelma was awarded Clubmember of the Year in 2020 for her services as Social Welfare Officer.
On a happier note, the Club also participated in the Laurieton River Walk Markets, gaining interest from the local community and potential publicity in the Camden Haven Chronicle.
As always, if anyone comes across articles or other information that may be of interest to members, please send them to me for publication in future editions. And a big thank you to those who have already done so.
