The picture on our cover (and above) is of Rodney with a great salmon caught at last year’s Swansea Salmon Classic. This great event is hosted by the Hunter Valley Fly Fishers Club and will be held again this year from 23-25 August. The entries are limited to 40 and there are currently 28 spots filled and only 12 left. The entry fee of $110.00 covers meals (including packed lunches) from Friday night to Sunday morning but does not include accommodation.

Don’s report of June’s outing shouldn’t disappoint members because of the paucity of fish landed. It has happened to better fisherpersons than us for at least two millennia. This outings report from an earlier time:
