I can hardly believe that a retired fisherman whose experience has been limited to estuaries and bait such as bread and prawns has managed to stay in the Editor’s chair for five years! However, the time has come for me to retire from the role.
It has been a sheer pleasure and quite a departure from my previous newsletter experience with a tenpin bowling club and a writers’ group. I have always tried to make our newsletter informative, fresh and enjoyable, even with my limited knowledge of fly fishing. It has been great fun, and I have thoroughly enjoyed being associated with such an honest, well-meaning and progressive group of people.
Unfortunately, time is becoming increasingly difficult to find, so it is time for me to pull the plug. Thank you all for giving me the opportunity to serve as your Editor. It has been an honour, and I leave the role with many fond memories.
