Materials

  • Hook – Scud size 8
  • Thread – Green woolly nylon
  • Weight – 10 turns, .020 lead free wire
  • Tail/Body – Variegated yellow/black small chenille.
  • Thorax – Chocklett’s Finesse Body Chenille olive (large 1 1/4″)

Tying Instructions

  1. Prepare the extended bodies all at once.
  1. Wind the lead free wire onto the hook and cover with thread.
  2. Tie the variegated extended body on top of the hook.
    Pictured body may be too long.
  1. Tie in the chenille at the eye and back to the bend of the hook.
  2. Wrap the chenille with touching wraps to the eye.
  1. Tie it off, whip finish or half hitch.
  2. Apply Sally Hansen or water-based head cement.
