Poppin’ Flats Shrimp – Fedeles Variant
The Poppin’ Flats Shrimp is a great saltwater pattern for baby tarpon, snook, bonefish, and anything else lurking near the mangroves or on the flats. It is easy to cast with great movement in the water. In shallow water fishing it on a floating like will work, but a full sinking line can give it some different action.
Materials
- Hook – Size 2 bronze saltwater hook.
Crush the barb like all “good” Fly Fishers do. - Thread – Invisible thread.
A must for strength and to keep thread wraps small. - Tail – Small strands from EP Foxy Brush Pale Olive,
Dark olive or gold Krystal flash. - Tail feelers – Gold krystal tinsel
- Eyes – Krafters Korner Flower Stamens Orange
- Under body – EP Brush fibres
- Over Body – Tan 3 mm Fly foam
